Welcome to Essential Skills & Strategies for Grantmakers (ESS). This professional education series is an unique opportunity for staff and volunteers who are new to the grantmaking work of community, family, independent and corporate foundations, and other grantmaking entities. Although it is designed to serve those with less than two years of experience, many more experienced grantmakers have completed and received certain value from the ESS series. All six sessions in the series share concrete, practical and relevant practices you can employ now in your grantmaking efforts.
Seasoned grantmakers will present the curriculum over lunch at their respective offices. ESS is an opportunity to learn the craft of grantmaking, network with colleagues, and interact with fellow grantmakers in the greater Milwaukee area. Each session will run from 11am-1pm with lunch and materials provided. Cost for members is $375 for the series, or $75 per session. Cost for non-members is $750 for series, or $150 per session.
